Hello,
I am a non-binary multi-disciplinary artist that works with the mediums of paint, sculpture, and writing. I graduated with a BFA in fine arts from California College of the Arts in Oakland, CA. I have always been interested in art making and story telling. I love to create different representations that define the concepts of duality, being neurologically-diverse, anxiety, and depression. I use many different symbols, patterns, and gestures to associate these themes to my work. These aspects of my work help me narrate everyday obstacles and thoughts. The body of work I create is always evolving and devolving, giving the viewer a sense of what I am trying to portray.
The themes I discuss in my work revolve around childhood trauma, growth, sexuality, and the transitions I have experienced. My method behind painting is unconventional and sometimes confusing to explain. Some pieces I create out of pure imagination and some have been planned for months until I am ready to paint or sculpt them. At the moment I am primarily focused on painting and illustrating. I am hoping to sculpt soon when I have the tools for success.
I look forward to continuing this journey of self expression and sharing my stories with my audience.
